The Nursery School offers fun, stimulation and careful supervision to prepare children for their school life ahead. We offer both full day and sessional care for ages 2-5 years supervised by our team of experienced and qualified staff.

We achieve our aims by providing a wide range of learning opportunities and a basis for more formal learning on starting school by introducing letters and numbers in daily play.

We believe that music plays a very important part in a child’s development by increasing self-expression and confidence.

Our kitchen enables us to do baking, whilst craftwork, painting, collage and interest tables are important features of our days.

We provide drinks and healthy snacks during the sessions.

We are always flexible and, for example, if you wish to extend a session by adding lunch, or an afternoon, then this can normally be accommodated.

Throughout the year, we spend as much time as possible in our secure and well-equipped garden where we take indoor activities outside. For example, painting, sand, water play and construction.

Our activities during the year include a Nativity play, a summer concert, numerous coffee mornings and a sports day, teddy bears picnics and parties. We hold a number of open mornings throughout the year and a parents evening during the spring term.

We have found that "Come and try" sessions are beneficial to both children and parents and are positively encouraged throughout the year.
