Dear Parents,
Welcome to the October newsletter. It is hard to believe that we are
almost at half term. As you may be aware we have changed the names of
the keyworker groups and now have the caterpillar group and the butterfly
group as outlined below:
KEYWORKER GROUPS
The Butterfly group will comprise of our older children in their final
year of Nursery.
The younger children will be in the Caterpillar group.

We are pleased to have the services of Lisa Cawley and Bev Pashley who
are currently studying for the NVQ in childcare and have volunteered to
help as part of their course work.
We also welcome back Scott, who is attending a full time childcare course
at West Kent College and as part of the course he has a placement with
us on Monday and Tuesday morning.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON
We are pleased to inform you that an additional session on Friday afternoon
is now available from after October half-term.
08.30 start
By popular demand we are also pleased to offer 08.30 start from after
October half term. Please see Wendy or myself should you be interested.
TIMETABLE
The daily timetable is on display outside Nursery.
TOPIC
The topic is Nursery Rhymes for the first half of the term. Further details
for the weekly activities will be displayed on the notice boards outside
nursery.
GARDEN
We are keen to use the garden as often as is possible throughout the year.
Not only do some children enjoy playing outdoors it adds variety to the
learning experience. Obviously suitable clothing and wellies as the weather
turns colder are essential. Please ensure that all articles of clothing
are named!
Should you have any concerns regarding outdoor play please have a word
with Wendy or myself.
PHOTOGRAPHS
During our sessions we often like to take pictures of the children taking
part in Nursery activities. If you have any objections to your child appearing
in any photographs please fill in the slip below and return to Jackie
or Wendy by the end of October please.
We would like to add some photos to the website so please sign the permission
slip at the end of the Newsletter if you wish/do not wish to allow us
to use the pictures.
REMINDERS
Please remember to collect your child promptly at the end of the session.
If for any reason you are going to be late please let Wendy or myself
us know.

mobile phone numbers, emergency contact, allergies). New forms are available.
FINALLY
Please remember that we operate an open door policy and you are welcome
to call in and see Wendy or myself at any time. If you would like to spend
some time in the Nursery or help at a session please let Wendy or myself
know.
